Sticking Accelerator Pedals

Toyota has issued a recall for eight models due to sticking accelerator pedals which cause the vehicles to accelerate out of control while in motion. The gas pedals on the affected vehicles may become stuck in the open throttle position, causing drivers to lose control of the vehicles while in operation. The following Toyota models are involved in this recall:

  • Certain 2009–2010 RAV4*
  • Certain 2009–2010 Corolla*
  • 2009–2010 Matrix
  • 2005–2010 Avalon
  • Certain 2007–2010 Camry*
  • Certain 2010 Highlander*
  • 2007–2010 Tundra
  • 2008–2010 Sequoia

*Does not include Highlander hybrids and Camry hybrids or Camry, RAV 4, Corolla and Highlander vehicles with vehicle identification numbers (VINs) that begin with the letter "J."
